D&C 31:3: "Lift up your heart and rejoice, for the hour of your mission is come; and your tongue shall be loosed, and you shall declare glad tidings of great joy unto this generation."
It's here. It is here. The hour of my mission has come.
On Friday I received some fantastic news! My visa to the Philippines has come!!! I leave on Wednesday!!!! I'm so, so excited.
One of the reasons why I came to Wisconsin was to meet Cricket. We found her the second week I was here or so. Or rather, she found us. She stopped us while we were walking one day and told us that she wanted us to come and teach her and her family. We've met with her pretty much everyday since.
Cricket is a special person. We've truly seen CHANGE in her life. It's remarkable to see what happens when the light of Christ enters into someone's life, and it's humbling to be a part of that process. She's expressed that she feels so much more peace now, even in these short few weeks of us teaching her. She has embraced the gospel and continues to impress me every time we meet.
Her baptism is on the 18th of August, and I'm really sad that I'll miss it. But, she's graduating from college right when I get back from my mission, so we're all going to meet down in Colorado to support her for that :) I can't wait.
I'm so thankful and so humbled to have served here in Wisconsin even for this short time. I've learned a lot. I have to remind myself that I wasn't even supposed to come here in the first place, but it was part of Gods plan and a blessing to me. But now he needs me in the Philippines and I'm humbled to continue ministering there.
Can't wait until next Monday to tell you all about the PHILIPPINES BABY AH YEAH. Stay tuned!
Mahal ko kayo!!!

Two thumbs up for two years left baby

This baby in the stroller thing was one of the best things I've seen ever. Bless up- your welcome.

I saw a BATMOBILE ICE CREAM TRUCK

Which is better? Funky 70s carpet or freedom eagle shirt?? Honestly it's a toss up

Best carpet I've ever seen. We helped a member tear out a bunch of carpet on Saturday, actually pretty fun!!

Boo-boo - crickets dog. Such a good girl.

Elder Bartlett and I. He is waiting for his visa still, and we've gotten to be pretty great friends after the MTC and coming to Wisconsin for a little bit.

Cricket. She's an amazing mom, example, and friend. I'll dearly miss her.

Mikey, Cricket's son. He put a piece of pizza on his stomach and tried to attract seagulls at the beach. He's one of the funniest kids I've ever been friends with. Oh I love that guy!
