Hello everyone!! This week has been a great one for me :) I have a SON!!! He's a pogi and so magaling. I'm pretty sure that he came pre-trained hahaha. We've been trying to be obedient and just work hard. Trying to talk to everyone and be happy spreading the message :)
I love this work and I love talking to people about the gospel. We've been able to meet a lot of cool people this week. We've been sharing a lot about the promised blessings of following the commandments. There is so many promised blessings of happiness, joy, and peace in our lives if we will follow his commandments and live his gospel.
In all of this promising blessings and inviting people to change, of course there are lots of people who choose not to read the Book of Mormon or come to church. There's a word in Tagalog, "Sayang", which means like you missed out! Sometimes I find myself so disappointed and honestly a little discouraged when others choose not to receive the blessings!!
Something my last companion taught me is that all people have their own agency and when we invite, we succeed in our work. But still, it is such a sayang!! There is so much joy in the gospel, why don't they want it?
I've taken a look at my own life and have decided that I will always use my agency to keep the commandments of God. I love this part of Alma's sermon: "And I trust, according to the Spirit of God, which is in me, that I shall also have joy" I know that if we are trying to follow the commandments and changing each day to become closer to our Savior, we can also trust that we will have joy :)
I take trust in and hope in the blessings and happiness I will experience in the future when I get to see my family again, and ultimately have a family of my own. That is the joy of the gospel, it's all about families and those around us.
I love you all! Take trust in the joy of the gospel, I promise it's true :)
Ingat kayo palagi! Agyaman!
