Hello everyone!! Short email this week because it went sooo fast. Sorry. We spent 2 days this week in Laoag for the mission leadership council and also for exchanges with the assistants. I've learned a lot and I'm inspired to be more obedient, faithful, and diligent in the work.

Let's first kick this of with some pictures:

So you may remember last week there was a picture of us putting up a light post, but no picture of the actual light post. So we went back and got a picture next to it haha. This is it! We also ran into the Barangay Captain again and he told us that he posted the pictures on Facebook and has gotten a lot of good feedback from it. That's pretty awesome right? We set a return appointment to come back and teach him as well so we'll see where that goes!

Here's one of those mirror picture those cool kids always do

This morning we had a zone activity with everyone in my zone. Super fun. It's pretty fun being a zone leader, besides doing follow up calls on Sundays. Those are stressful. But fun pa rin :)

Our work in Batac has been kinda slower than I've wanted it to be in the past couple of weeks. We've dropped a lot of the people the past missionaries used to teach, and so we've had to do a lot of straight finding and talking to everyone. We had interviews with President and he told me that he loves what me and Elder Griffiths are trying to do, he just said that we have to be diligent and we'll catch some momentum in the area. We're trying to work hand in hand with the ward here in the work to gain their trust.

One thing I've really pondered on this week is the whole question of how we can gain momentum in our work. I know that's something we need to do, but how?

I recently finished the Doctrine and Covenants, so I began the Pearl of Great Price, in the book of Moses. I love this book, as it is pure revelation given to the prophet Joseph Smith about the prophet Moses and about God's plan for His children. One verse that I think we all may be familiar with is Moses 1:39. In this verse, God says:

"For behold, this is my work and my glory- to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."

God's purpose, His work and His glory is to help us attain eternal life through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've reflected a lot on that, and I pondered on my part as a missionary of sharing this great restored gospel. I get to spend every day sharing this plan of a loving Heavenly Father to help us overcome our sins and weaknesses, and allow us to become like Him through Christ's atonement.

This is the great work and the great glory of God. And, I get to be a part of it. The momentum will come. This is the Lord's work and it's in his hands.

Love you all!! Have a great week!
