Hello everyone!! This week felt like probably one of the longest in my whole mission. haha. Last week they picked me up and I immediately had so many things to do with helping missionaries transfer and sending missionaries home/picking up the new ones. It's been awesome.
I'm trying to adjust to the new area and the new expectations of being an AP. It's differently different. But a lot of it is the same. I'm still a missionary and I'm still here to preach the gospel to others, which I am taking peace/comfort in.
I'm trying to give my all to the service of others. I know I'm not perfect and not a perfect missionary. But there's a reason for everything and I'm excited to learn a lot here in Laoag.
here's my pics for this week. I'm sorry I kinda always have to apologize for not a lot of them hahaha.

This is a lady we found one Saturday and she came to church the very next day. I wasn't there for it, but she just got baptized last Thursday! Pretty awesome :) Sad to leave the other people we were teaching in Batac, but I'm happy that I was blessed to have met them and had a role in helping them.

Last night we were taking a tricy to our last appointment for the night, I get in and there's this little girl in there. In the Philippines it's actually kinda normal for a parent to pay a tricy driver (like a taxi kinda) to take their little kid somewhere. She was all alone! Haha. I don't think my mom would've ever let me do that when I was a kid. Anyways I got in there and she smiled at me, gave me a high five, and said yes when I asked her if we could take a picture. Gotta love little kids :)

This was our last appointment last night, some really really good food. We ate dinner with an RC (she's not in the picture) and she's really good at cooking. She asked me what some of my favorite dishes are and she cooked one of them, its called chicken adobo with pineapple. It's really good. She also had some veggie mash called Poqui-poqui. Delicious. Also sausage. Good with sauce.

Sorry about the lack of pictures. I'll try to take more this next week :)
Anyways, life is good. I'm excited for this next week and I'm sure that things will start to pick up again as I get into a routine and more comfortable in the adjustment.
I've had some thoughts this past week and feelings of inadequacy and lack of experience. Even though I'm not a perfect missionary and I continue to make mistakes, I will trust in God and will continue to be faithful to Him. I know that we can do all things through Christ.
One of my favorite quotes I've learned on my mission. "God does not require immediate perfection, but He expects immediate progression."
That's what the gospel is all about. progression. change. becoming better.
I love you all! Make it a great week :-)
