What's up everybody! This week was a whole lot of fun. I am convinced that there's really not much better things to do than making new friends and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. I love my mission.
It's not easy or 100% happy. There are moments even now that I'm sad and annoyed with myself, disappointed with how things turn out, or want to just give my Mom a hug. But, that's not just because I'm in the Philippines and away from home, that's life!
We all sometimes feel sad, lonely, tired... you name it. Life is not 100% joy. But, I'm learning that in the moments of the day I can actively choose to focus on Christ and ask Him what He would have me do to better serve and help those around me.
Life is a challenge. But, in the process of struggle, trials, problems, we better come to know ourself and our Maker who loves us and wants us to reach our potential of perfection.
Ah. It's a good life.
Here's some pictures from my week :-)

One of the most popular Philipino food here is called "lechon". It's a roasted pig. They have it at every special occasion - birthdays, holidays, sometimes just for fun. It's delicious and not very good for you.. haha

Here is some of the people we're teaching. One of our recent converts is sharing the gospel with her family, her cousin (far left) will get baptized in a few weeks! Her Dad (my right) accepted a Book of Mormon and her neighbor (far right) has been to church a few times now :)

Us cooking eggs at one of our recent converts houses. Love it.

Missionary friends at church :) Laoag ward 2.

This is one of the coolest people ever. He's one of my recent converts here in Laoag. He's currently training for the Asia haircutting competition in Singapore. He's ranked number 2 in the whole Philippines for cutting hair. At least that's what he tells us ;)
